The First Ever Women's Olympic Marathon Trials Course is Back!

Boston Qualifier!

It's hard to believe that Women did not have the option to run the Olympic Marathon before 1984.  But, finally, the world came around, and Olympia, Washington fought hard for the honor of hosting the first ever Women's Olympic Marathon Trials.  Since Joan Benoit Samuelson's historic win at the '84 Trials, followed by her victory at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, Women's marathoning has grown so much that it's hard to imagine it was not always at the front and center of distance running as a featured event.  There can only be one first of anything, and we believe it is important to preserve the heritage of the '84 Women's Trials course right here in lovely Olympia, Washington.  This race is for everyone, men and women alike - anyone who loves running and the history of running, in fact.  Retrace the footsteps of legends!
